This book celebrates our culture, the culture of St. Martin. Culture is part of our identity as a people. It has many elements. It includes our knowledge and traditions. It includes the way we cook and what we eat. Our arts, music, and dance are also all part of our culture. So are the events we celebrate, and so much more! Our culture can also vary. For example, some of us may use different words for the same fruit or food or tradition. But all of these traditions and names are part of our rich St. Martin culture.

Many languages are spoken on our island. You can use this book to learn words in four of these languages! This book is full of things that are part of our culture. There is a drawing of each one for you to color. Each drawing has related words in English, French, Spanish and Dutch. There is also a place for you to practice writing the words. Have fun!
