The annual Migratory Bird Festival is a free, public event where residents and visitors alike can see, celebrate, and learn about the marvelous migratory birds that travel thousands of miles each year to visit or spend the winter in St. Martin. These amazing birds connect the Americas with their incredible journeys, and St. Martin plays an important role in their life cycle. Activities at the 2019 Migratory Bird Festival will include birdwatching, BirdSleuth games, interactive discovery stations, art activities, and more! This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 9th from 9am to noon at Amuseum Naturalis at The Old House in French Quarter. Migratory Bird Festival 2015

The 2015 event featured guided birding tours, multimedia presentations, a “Portable Pond” aquatic invertebrates activity, migratory bird-themed art activities and a heritage tree seedling giveaway. Migratory Bird Festival 2013

The 2013 Migratory Bird Festival was held at the wooden boardwalk trail at Étang de la Barriere in Cul-de-Sac. Over 200 visitors attended to learn about the importance of our mangrove wetlands and the many migratory bird species that make their winter home here.
