Wetlands Around Me: St. Martin Nature Coloring Book and Journal

Wetlands are wet places. They can be completely wet, like a pond. They can be a little wet, like a muddy marsh. They can be wet sometimes, like a roadside ditch or stream that only fills up after a rain. In and around these places, there are many kinds of plants and animals. Everything needs water to live, so wetlands are full of life. There is life above the water, like birds, insects and trees. There is life below the water, like fish, crayfish and snails. When you go by a pond or stream, you will see many of these plants and animals. The lives of these plants and animals are all connected. You can see birds hunting fish, crabs eating leaves and trees giving shelter to all. St. Martin’s wetlands are amazing. Take some time to explore and enjoy them!
